So it's already the last day of the holiday week but I think the week was well spent. Not because I was already having a holiday in the first place, but because I managed to meet friends I wanted to meet even though they all have homework to deal with we still could work something out so yay :)
Actually went to USS haha just to make my seasonal pass worth the money and it ultimately was quite boring. No thrilling big ride to get hyped up about; it was literally just doing things for the sake of doing them. But I guess when you're waiting in line or strolling along the disguised streets, you can observe many things and the different types of people around. You no longer relate to the kids queuing up to take photos with Sesame Street mascots or the gleeful kids who are so eager to jump into tame, non-exhilarating rides. You can no longer be fooled. Instead, you start relating to the adults who readily give in to their little ones asking for souvenirs that immortalize their favourite cartoon characters (of the moment). You know those overpriced things will ultimately become useless, but you also know you'll probably do the same when you take your kids to amusement parks in the future because you just need to please them, even if it's just for that one time. I mean, they're called amusement parks for a reason right? And to kids, the merchandise is just as important as the rides.
Gonna leave the house soon, so here are 3 things which made me happy this week, because it's nice to count your blessings once in a while, so you don't take them for granted:
1. being able to sit next to someone in silence and not feel the slightest bit awkward or uncomfortable. I didn't have to worry about running out of things to talk about and ruining the whole moment because either way, I was at ease and it's always nice to just sit there and enjoy each other's presence you know?
2. being able to pour out the thoughts and feelings I've been keeping to myself for days to people whom I have complete trust in. I know they won't judge me or tell on me, and they just want me to be happy. That is utter bliss.
3. seeing the kids at sunday school with their quirky antics and hearing their super cute responses to otherwise serious questions. I had only 4 hours of sleep but being around them makes me laugh and smile and not show any sign of fatigue.
Ok have a good week ahead hehe bye!! Meanwhile listen to this sick tune x
