Looking for romance or?

Hiya! Today's a special day for a few reasons: 1) friends going to jc had their first day of school today! :) I feel excited for them honestly haha since I was this close to hopping over to the jc route but besides that it's been really interesting to hear how orientation's been like in their different schools through our whatsapp group hehe. And when I met up with some of them yesterday (which was great we went to play rock band again hehe) they were nervous about all the new beginnings but I trust they'll make new friends and just embrace the school culture real soon. Sad to part but I'm gonna make sure we don't forget about each other, no way. Be happy, friends!!
2) I feel like I made good use of today's hours. I was supposed to head down to the park alone to run earlier today but I seriously considered the possibility of me getting kidnapped somewhere along the way (the side effects of watching too much Criminal Minds) so I decided to do some cardio indoors instead lol I can feel your stares of disappointment but I actually did what I wanted to do okay. Well, the morning was, as usual, mundane. I was just watching videos and reading but it's fine, I like it. Then I actually bothered to get out of the house to buy lunch back, watched Moonrise Kingdom (which wasn't as good as the other films I watched, wait for it) and here comes the good part - I did my cardio!! Haha 30 min video by Livestrong and after I cleaned up I've been in a good mood ever since hooray! Will attempt to do the same like thrice a week? Exercising makes you feel good so do it!!
Talking about movies (thanks for waiting), if you follow my insta you'd have seen the 5/6 films I set out to watch because my uncles recommended them to me and boy am I glad they did. I watched History Boys first, which is English, and it's about this group of talented, intelligent but rowdy boys who finished A levels and are now prepping for Harvard/Oxford, and how they are influenced by their teachers. It has homosexuality in it and the cast is really charismatic. Not a bad film at all, but Primal Fear and Dead Poets Society really got me good. Primal Fear is a crime show, with the legal drama and all that, centred around this high-profile defence lawyer and a big murder case, which unravels truths which couldn't be seen from the surface. It gave Edward Norton his breakthrough role and you'll understand why once you see it :) Absolutely loved Dead Poets Society, which is about literature appreciation. Again, also about a group of boys (American this time) in a strict school with rigid teachers until the new teacher comes along and inspires them to do things which are frowned upon by the arrogant, stubborn, dumb-ass teachers and parents. But I think the ending didn't give me enough closure......but seriously the show is filled with so many good quotes and ideals. Cast is good too. It's gonna make you emotional too like I was happy then pissed off then devastated then more pissed off.
This seems appropriate at this time:
"Come my friends / 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world / for my purpose holds to sail beyond that sunset / And though we are not now that strength which in old days / Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are / One equal temper of heroic hearts / Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will / To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."
- Alfred Lord Tennyson, Ulysses (in DPS)
Can't wait for the weekend to arrive! And I changed the blog layout, I like it much better now. But still annoying how you can't see a lot of things with the mobile template but whatever. Before I go, special mention to these beautiful people and a really cheerful upbeat song for ya. Bye!
