Alive

Hey there it's been quite a while since I posted and it is post-Christmas season :(
I specially brought out my camera to one of the house parties I went to so I could document the Christmas-ness of it all and put it here BUT unfortunately my dumb ass memory card somehow cleared all the photos I had in it on its own (GOD KNOWS WHY?!?!?!) so basically all the lovely photos I took that day are gone. G O N E. I am very annoyed at this point. Doubt I can recover them but I will try because I refuse to let this bloody card get the better of me.
Since I have lost the photos, looks like I'll have to use words instead /sigh/
Like many others out there, Christmas is one of my all-time favourite holidays of the year (the other one being CNY haha). It just gives you a really nice and warm feeling inside. Even though it's actually just one day, somehow Christmas always feels like it's a month-long event because there's the Christmas shopping (which everyone tends to leave till the last minute therefore resulting in a mad rush at major malls nationwide), the decorating of the tree, the wrapping of gifts, the stunning family feasts and of course, the ripping-apart of presents. And I guess seeing all the Christmas lights round town already hung up at the start of December is pretty uplifting too.
My Christmas tradition is pretty much a dinner with one side of the family on Christmas Eve, and then an all-day party with another side of the family on Christmas day and I absolutely love it(especially the Christmas day one). I realise, when you get older, your presents kinda shrink in size, and when you've reached that age where no one really knows what you're into, most of your presents become vouchers and gift cards, which is great! I mean you get to choose your own present technically. But there's just something about tearing away that wrapping paper and finding a bag or a book or jewellery etc which you find really nice and you are genuinely happy that the person who gave it to you decided to choose that item as your present. You get me? Oh and I'm really looking forward to buying and wrapping gifts for people in the future. I feel like it's a mark of adulthood hahahaha.
Anyway, I'm still pissed and bummed out that I have no xmas photos to show you guys. I'm so sorry!! Next Christmas I'm going to make sure that this doesn't happen again. What a let down.
Is it just me or do you guys like plan what to wear on Christmas like weeks before the actual day?? Because I feel like what I wear affects how I am on Christmas day, so I have to wear something really comfortable and Christmassy (if not, something wintery/autumnal (am I even using this word right??) at least) (bracket-ception). I ended up wearing a cream sweater from H&M, black elephant-printed leggings from F21 and gold+white accessories because I feel like Christmas just needs that sparkle, you know? I WOULD have had photos.........damn it.
December seems to be getting more exciting towards the end haha will post again soon happy holidays guys!! Xx
